zynd Quiet on purpose. The loudest starts tend to have the quietest endings.
What I do: place the first piece so the rest fall by themselves. It looks like almost nothing, and it is most of the work.
-
organizational knowledge
How does what a company knows become answerable again - without anyone sorting it first?
What a company knows sits in quotes, mail, photos from the site and in meetings two people remember differently. Producing that order is work nobody pays for and therefore nobody does.
-
machines with manners
What makes a machine something you talk to rather than operate - and does it hold on the third day?
Speech as an interface is easy to demo and hard to sustain. In the demo every answer is a small miracle; in daily use what counts is whether the device copes when two people talk at once, whether it admits to not knowing something, and whether you can tell when it is listening.
-
security and sovereignty
How do you build communication that holds against an attacker whose hardware does not exist yet?
Confidentiality in the public sector counts in decades, not in years: what is recorded today gets decrypted the moment it is worth the effort. The question is then less which cipher is strongest today than what will still be maintainable, auditable and replaceable in twenty years.
-
data and engineering
When does a measurement turn into a decision - and what has to sit in between?
Numbers are quick to collect and still rarely used. In between lies a chain nobody enjoys building: measurement that identifies nobody, analysis that is current rather than quarterly, and code that still runs once the person who wrote it has long gone.

Christoph Döberl
I have been writing software since 2012 and running the company since February 2022. I studied software engineering in Hagenberg and Leadership and Innovation in Organizations at Johannes Kepler University Linz.
I still write the code rather than only advising on it: you are talking to the person who does the work. Alongside client projects and research I also run workshops and give talks on AI and digitalisation.
